We traversed the Edward Island inland water passage to Trenton, Ontario. The day was beautiful, and luckily our trip was uneventful.
Our friends in Kingston took these pictures as we left the dock.
Our first time navigating Canadian waters after being cleared by customs in Kingston.
We arrived to a packed marina and had to arrive in a very tight dock next to a large boat. Our boat neighbors pulled out their fenders, and with skilled dockhands we were able to enter into our slip bow first. Our new extention cord we got back in Chesapeake City was required for this docking.
We saw a fantastic pre-show of the Quinte International Air Show to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Royal Canadian Airforce (RFAF). One of the highlights was the Italian Air Force acrobatic team Freeccee Tricolori
We had a specatular view of the Canadian Airshow from our boats. Unfortunately the weather was raining on Saturday and so the only day to see the show was Sunday and the pre-show we got to see over us as we were docking.
Our Harbor Host set up a Docktails to give a complete briefing of the Trent Severn. There were 21 Looper Boats at the marina for the holiday and to see the Airshow. It was a great time to reconnect with new and old friends to learn about our next passageway and share our stories.
Review:
Pros: Clean wide docks, excellent new free laundry, clean and modern bathrooms, top notch staff, excellent grocery store across from the marina, inexpensive, activities for transients
Cons: Can be windy
Rating: 5 stars - Ted's favorite marina
Location: Trenton
Not as many restaurant choices
Small city and not as cute as Kingston or Clayton
