We had another spectacular travel day as we rushed to Charleston before the upcoming rougher weather. We decided to shorter our stay in Charleston to one night to take advantage of a smooth travel day to Georgetown SC.

We always enjoy to see the work that is completed on our waterways.

We had an outside transient slip that was easier to dock with the intense currents. However the boat rocked a lot throughout the night.

After we arrived, Laura took off to explore and take pictures and Ted stayed on the boat to wash off the salt. We knew the next day we were going to be up early to head to Georgetown.

Historic downtown Charleston was a busy vibrant town.

The beautiful Grace Church Cathedral on the walk from the marina to the downtown.

An overflow pond that had a channel that was pumping water in as Laura walked by.

Ted ate at the Variety Market in the marina that had surprisingly good food.
Stay: 1 night
Pros: Close to town, Docks and cleats solid, Walking distance to town
Cons: Need to walk across busy street to get to town, strong current for docking, turbulent slip on outside for transients
