We had a fabulous time seeing Chicago with Grayce. Laura liked Chicago the first time she came with work, and the second time with Grayce, but absolutely loved it by boat. The marina was fabulous and close. We had only 8 minute walk to all Grayce's apartment and her favorite haunts.
Laura took a brief trip back to California and Ted had more quality time with Grayce. He also supervised the second part of our maintenance with Chicago Boat Works.
Grayce and Alexander decided to get up early to join us on our memorable trip on our boat through Chicago. We got so many spectacular photos, it was hard to pick the best ones.
We started off the day with a beautiful sunrise.
We left the marina and entered the Chicago lock.
Red and green bouys.
The lock doors closed and we were in Chicago.
Seeing Chicago was amazing from our boat.
This is the location of the company that performed our Starboard Manifold replacement that was part 2 of the work we started at Drummond Island. They have the only crane/swing that can take boats out of the Chicago river. No Travelifts are allowed here.
We dropped them off in Chinatown as we waited for the Train bridge to lift.
Once it started rising, we were on our way. Farewell to Chicago and our wonderful trip with Grayce and Alexander.
