We left Fairhope for a one night stay at Lulu's Homeport marina.
We had a flat calm beautiful day on the bay.
As we got closer to the intracoastal waterway entrance we started to see more dolphins. The dolphins ride up into the front of the boat and travel with you.
For the next part of the trip we will get the opportunity to have dolphins travel with us either at the bow of the boat or in our wake.
The marina had floating docks and is known for the restaurant owned by Jimmy Buffet's sister Lucy (aka Lulu). We arrived to see a restaurant with an arcade, climbing gym, and open restaurant.
We had dinner with dream looper and a musician playing Jimmy Buffet style music in the background.
We absoluted loved the food here. Nothing we had wasn't fantastic. Laura had many yummy vegetarian options. We knew it was known for the restaurant, but didn't really expect the food to be spectacular.
Julie caught this picture of the shrimping boat at night traveling alonside the restaurant.
Stay: 1 night
Pros: Floating docks, great restaurant, quiet harbor
Cons: Only one men's/women's shower/restroom, no courtesy car, provisions are a mile or more away and need bicycle/car
