Fast Stop in Fernadina Beach (#105)

Our next one night stop was Fernandina Beach. What a cute town! Laura took a lot of pictures to remember everything we saw. We were on a mission to get to Brunswick before the upcoming storms, so we needed to move fast on beautiful days.

We saw Emily B, Tic Tac, and Conchy Jac (new solo female captain) and met Gold Looper Make It So. As with St. Augustine, we really would have loved to have had more time here. We track our Great Loop friends on the NEBO app to see where everyone is and where they are going!

The Sparkling Star had a great outside tie up for our quick departure the next morning.

Laura went for a walk and found her favorite ice cream.

Hershey's Mint Chip

This is the Post Office.

And Courthouse.

And we are starting to see more and more of the lovely Spanish moss.

Lot of history on the East Coast!

Our daughter would love the bookstore with apartment on top!

We had a few minutes in the morning before we left to grab some snacks. We tried an old fashioned donut (cake) with our custom toppings.

Dipped chocolate with coconut shavings and rasberry drizzle.Yum!

In the morning we could see St. Andrew's Sound ahead. Laura picks calm travel days so today was a definite "go" day.

The sailboats were anchored right outside the channel.

As was this huge ship.

We definitely would recommend this stop for a multiple day adventure.

Stay: 1 Day

Pros: Best cleats of the trip, close to adorable town, nice and helpful staff

Cons: Restrooms are not working, a bit rocky at night
