We started off our Big Bend crossing at First Light. We were eager and anxious to make this journey. We had two boats traveling behind us that had come from Kemah Texas and were both fairly new on the Loop.

The sunrise was glorious.

And we enjoyed the beautiful clear skies. But, looking off in the horizon was the ominous clouds touching the seas.

And then this is what we saw the rest of the trip... So no more pictures. We turned our trusty foghorn on, and became better experts at using our radar.

We were so happy to land at Sea Hag marina after getting our tanks filled up. Hard to beleive this place was devastated by a hurricane only months ago. They have not repaired the electricity or water, but we had a nice secure tie up.

Our whole time in Steinhatchee had a slight haze of fog. The locals said this late day fog was unusual for the area.

The Sea Hag is a working and functioning fishing marina.

The most sun we saw through the fog.

The two doors warned about the Step Down, and then there was a danger sign. Before the hurrican there was a deck for seating for 80. Now there is a deep drop into water!

The piers along our walk to Pizza with many damaged piers. We saw one pier that was damaged and heavily tilting with two men sitting on chairs. Ted said we shouldn't take pictures...

An interesting looking tree.

And big boulders that had crevices where shells used to be embedded.

Laura's shirt was on sale as a "Hurricane Damaged Shirt". She didn't know it when she made the purchase.

In the morning as we were leaving for Crystal River, the fog remained dense.
