We left early with our four buddy boats at 7am to make our only lock of the day, Marseilles Lock, at 8am. We rafted up for an easy passage of the day.

We rafted up to our friends on "First Light".

Once we left the lock, each boat went at their own speed. Three of the four boats made it to the Henry Harbor Marina. This was a fun stop on the Old Henry Lock Wall.

We found out that this marina owner plans to move this marina to Hannepin, Illinois because the locals have not been friendly to them. The locals want to have back their oldest lock, but will lose all the business from the 800 transient Loopers who rely on this stop. All the docks and buildings are moveable and Loopers will still have this as a much needed stop along the Illinois river.
We damaged our dinghy canvas cover when docking next to the rock wall. They have an on-site canvas repair shop that fixed us up in 2 hours and before we left the next day.
Ted wanted us to save this picture to record this tie up.

This mobile bathroom has an innovative light program that you can see across the marina. When the showers and restroom is empty, the green light shows and when occupied the red light shows on each side. Inside, the restrooms are modern and clean.

We caught these spectacular pictures when our friends on First Light left on one of their final journeys before returning home to Alton, Missouri.

Stay: 1 Night
Pros: Nice staff, fixed a canvas on the spot, great electric & water despite rough area, Fabulous restrooms, near downtown with several restaurants and a grocery store
Cons: Rough lock wall, Rope ties for docking to accommodate flooding
5 stars (Cool visit but might be closed next year.)
