Planning in Panama City (#86)

We spent two days at Panama City to wait out the weather, clean clothes (no fee for laundry), and do taxes! The marina had fixed docks and were new. Bathrooms were clean and it was a great reprieve and place to help us stage for our upcoming four one night stops to cross the Gulf.

Our trip to Panama City was beautiful and clear and calm.

Occasionally in this area of the country we will see abandoned boats, likely from Hurricane damage, but sometimes user error.

Ted got our ladder set up and it was almost horizontal during high tide.

We had beautiful sunsets.

We mostly ate at the boat, but had two meals and the local restaurant, and one at the Marriott timeshare restaurant called "Bayside"

We had a marvelous omelets for brunch.

Behind the timeshare is this beautiful beach we had to pass on the narrow inlet to get to the marina.

Review

Pros: Well built marina, helpful staff, one restaurant nearby, clean restrooms, protected from weather

Cons: Fixed docks, few restaurants, no courtesy car, no grocery nearby without car

Rating: 4 stars
