Pre-Looper Rendezvous at Shady Harbor (#12)

The America's Great Loop Cruisers Association sponsors several official Rendezvous during the year. This is an opportunity to learn about the Loop, how to buy a boat, etc... One unoffical Looper Event is held at Shady Harbor Marina. We arrived right before the event and were able to increase our network significantly. We had Docktails twice with large groups of Looper couples. Unfortunately no pictures - we were having too much fun!

Our trip to Shady Harbor had perfect weather and we got a boost from the current. Our fuel consumption was very low on this leg of our trip. We tried to slow down at the end to arrive closer to slack tide and continued to move quickly.
