We left early in the fog and had the most magnificent trip to Safe Harbor Aqua Yacht in IUKA Mississippi. Unlike our friends, we decided to brave the fog early and travel with our foghorns on. It was absolutely gorgeous. Ted kept watch on the bow for us.
And a bit cold on the helm. This picture was taken in Portrait mode so Laura is fuzzy.
The reflection was spectacular.
We traveled through the PIckwick Lock with our friends on Therapy.
The marina was quite large. There were courtesy cars that we didn't use. The restaurant had closed for the season and their laundry was out of commission due to an issue with water at the restaurant. The staff at the marina were very nice.
Sunset at Safe Harbor.
Sunrise at Safe Harbor.
We were able to meet up with our friends Mary & Jim on Legacy that we haven't seen since Cape May, NJ but who have carefully guided us through our Loop always a couple of steps ahead of us. We had a wonderful dinner together, and were planning on many more days there. However, because of the locks at Wilson, we decided to leave a couple of days early so that we could get a spot to go through the Wilson lock.
We seriously considered becoming Safe Harbor members and gettig a slip at Safe Harbor Aqua Yacht because it was inexpensive and we could use the membership privaleges on the Loop which are 3 nights free and $1.00 off fuel at 50 or more marinas we could stop at on the Loop. The process was complicated and we decided not to join. Visiting Safe Harbor was a full-circle experience for us.
