As we geared up to end our almost 2 months stay in Orange Beach, Alabama, we heard rumbings of cold weather, then possible snow. Since it NEVER snows here, Laura thought it would be a 1-3 inch snow event. What it turned out is non-stop snow rivaling any snowstorm we saw in Virginia. Laura was sure she had seen her last big snowstorm.... What a surprise!
Luckily we had power and an extra heater on board. I had almost brought two of them but didn't think I would ever really need them since the Loop is normally a 70 degree event. Had we been able to leave a week earlier, we would have missed the snow. But as Ted says, we would have missed the opportunity to say we were in the Alabama blizzard of 2025!

It was a non-stop blizzard with snow blowing horizontal from the west.

The snow stopped at 6pm.

The next day we waited for the temperature to warm.

Ted laced up and started to remove the snow before it started to melt.

Ted used our broom as the snow shovel.

We had a clear pathway for everyone on the dock to use.

Walking around the Wharf there were so many fun and unusual picture!

We all met for docktails for the 2025 Blizzard at Wharf Marina Loopers!
We are now waiting for the snow to melt off the fuel pump and pumout area before we leave. Hopefully on Saturday!
