We made it! Wilson Lock going to Florence (#72)

The Wilson lock has been out for repairs and we had rushed to Joe Wheeler to join the Flotillas that were approved to go through the locks the next day. We had seven boats leave and were divided to two groups - the Giraffe herd and Pivot Parade. We were in the second group with the Pivot parade, with the famous Youtube SchoandJo boat with new owners.

They were able to squeeze us in on the fuel dock and we had a lovely time with our Looper friends and dinner.

All seven of us arrived and they let the first four through. The second group of three needed to stay together and be packed in front of this barge as we waited for our turn.

The lock is a double lock.

Once you compled one chamber you go to the second chamber.

This is the water parade and we weren't even at the end of the lock.

We are done with the Wilson Lock - yipee!!!

Later that evenin as the sun was setting.

This was the day of the election results. This picture made me think of my mood - prayers for our country.
